This documentary was created in parallel with the "Birmingham's Lost Masterpiece" video and was played during the "New Street Remembered" Exhibtion at King Edwards School Edgbaston, from January to March 2011. It offered guests a subjective insight into the lives of the men who learnt at the Barry Building, sharing anecdotes about their time in this amazing environment.
Elliander Pictures felt the interviews, coupled with the 3D slides, helped bring the building back to life and that the film will forever preserve the memories these boys collected during their school careers.
The 3D images seen in the film, were captured by a steroescopic camera just before the building was stripped for demolition, giving us a unique glimpse of the building's incredible architecture in a way never before seen. The slides were recently discovered in the King Edwards Archive.
The finished film is both visually stunning and emotionally engaging - bringing the building and the boys' memories to life.
Both Elliander Pictures and Free Spirit Film & TV would like to thank all contributors who made the project possible.
